Guess what!?!
We went to the Pumpkin Patch!
After church last week, we decided to head out to a local farm for their pumpkin patch.
{Notice that I didn't tell you their name. I'm still a little bitter about spending $43 there and only walking away with 2 pumpkins that I could have paid $7.78 for at Wal*Mart...no way are they getting free advertising from me!}
Enough complaining...memories are priceless? Right? At least that's what I keep telling myself.
We did the petting zoo.
{$1 for 2 cups of feed.}
And my kids obviously had a blast feeding the goats and sheep!
And the corn maze. Which I do not recommend letting two four year olds lead you through!
We rode ponies.
{$6 in addition to our $15 admission. okay...I'm stopping.}
And we picked out pumpkins.
{which were $12 and $8...that's really the last time...promise!}
After family naps, we carved them!
Gray picked out a mummy...
And Layne had to have Hello Kitty {Free Templates}.
Come back tomorrow for a pumpkin carving tip!

Gosh, we are so similar!!! :o) We did this same thing last weekend and I counted up exactly how much we spent, too.
ReplyDelete$27 for 3 admissions
$3 for cokes
$1 for feed
$7 for a pumpkin
Hah! I gotta keep reminding myself it's all about the memories, too! :o)
You were making me smile through this whole post as it is so true. I got lucky or should I say blessed this year. We found a local patch that charged $5 to do the hayride and then you got a free pumpkin afterward. There wasn't a corn maze though! BUT like you mentioned little ones in a corn maze---uhh yikes:P
ReplyDeleteYour kiddos smiles are so sweet though mom!
We have a whole pile of pumpkins from our garden sitting in the driveway that we don't know what to do with - you should've just come here and picked some for free. I would've even eaten out of Gray and Layne's hands like a goat! :)
ReplyDeleteOh how fun!!! We never did end up carving our pumpkin...it's sitting on the counter rotting. :( So sad. Looks like your kids had a blast! I love the expressions on their faces! I miss being a kid!
