Lately. & Guest Post Call

Project #1
After making my Gray & Yellow Tunic, I had so many ideas on how I could use this pattern. My first task was to make a swim suit cover up for me.

I don't mind swimming, but I hate being in a bathing suit in front of everyone...enter my new cover up!

I priced different types of fabric for this project, but nothing was in the price range that I wanted to spend for my cover up. I stopped at Walmart for something else and decided to check out the fabric there. But when I walked in, there was a display in the front with beach towels on sale!

I bought 2 Better Homes & Gardens towels (normally $9.97) for $3.97 each! And I adore the pattern!

Project #2
And I picked up a yard of pink fabric for Layne's dress for $2.27/yd. For her dress, measured her, but adjusted the measurements based on the pattern (Seamingly Smitten) I used for my tunic.

I love how it turned out! It was such a quick sew too...maybe 30 minutes total. I still need to add a halter strap or some regular straps. Her boobies were hanging out at Meijer a few times...oops!

Project #3
So a few months ago, I told you that I was working on a new quilt for my bed. {March was a few months ago, right?} Well, I took it to my mom & dad's house to show my grandma back in May...and left it there until last week. And I have no excuse...my parents live next door.

Anyway, I finally brought it home and started the quilting process. I have 13 lines to stitch and have 3 down...woo hoo!

I'll do the full reveal in a couple of weeks once I redo some lamp shades that need some major attention.

So, that's what I've been up to lately! How about you?

Oh...and linking up with some of these parties!
