Giving is so much fun!

I was so excited to participate in Craftaholics Anonymous's Homemade Gift Exchange.

This was my first time participating and it gave me a great excuse to craft {as if I need an excuse?}.

This is the gift that I made for my lovely partner, Leslie.

I made the zipper pouch using my tutorial. I did fuse the main fabric and a solid red fabric together before sewing this time, and I liked the finish product much better. So much that I almost kept it...

The other pieces that I made were a calendar and checkbook cover. For these, I used 2 Little Hooligans Ruffle Checkbook Cover tutorial. It was so easy! For the calendar, I had to adjust the measurements to make sure my calendar I had bought fit.

And from Leslie, I got this darling mosaic mirror. I really like the colors! Now just to find somewhere to hang it...

And in case you were wondering, this photo took about 20 tries using my timer. It was almost impossible to get the focus right. I ended up making Layne sit in that spot and focused on her...then made her get out of the way so I could take it with me :)
