Cars Party!!

Grayson has a few favorite things - Disney Cars, Caillou, and Toy Story. About a month or two before his birthday, I started asking him what kind of party he wants. If you have a 2 year old, you know how this conversation probably went!

Me: Cars Party or Caillou Party?

Smart mom here figured out that he was just answering with whatever I said last. I ended up getting a picture of each of them & he picked Cars...so Cars it was!

We started off with some trifold birthday invites featuring Lightning McQueen & Mater. And everyone got tickets in their invites too!

We decided to make our own cake...and you can see how well that turned out. Obviously, my hubby and I are not bakers, LOL. Matt thought it looked like a big Oscar Meyer Weiner. The cupcakes on the other hand, turned out awesome! I was pretty proud of them :) And our home-made cupcake stand turned out fantastic! {Thanks Honey!}

The internet was definitely my friend for this party! I found so many pictures online that I used to make custom signs to decorate with. We had cutouts of the cars through out the house, but my favorite signs that we maLinkde were the Flo's V8 Cafe & Fillmore's Organic Fuel. And you can't forget a Welcome to Radiator Springs Sign for the front door. We made checkered and red buntings to decorate throughout too, which turned out super cute. I found checkered fabric at Hancock's fabric, but also saw some at Walmart & Hobby Lobby.

Our gift bags came from Target's Dollar Section - SCORE! And the bags had some cool punching balloons, an activity book, and some candy.

The punching balloons were a success. The kids LOVED them!
