So my sweet baby boy (who's almost two! OMG!) loves his pacifier (we call it sucky) and blanket (aka BB). Lucky me, he's been sleeping through the night since a few weeks old. The kid LOVES his sucky and BB though! Part of me loves this! Part of me hates it :( How am I ever going to break this kid (who is my all-star sleeper) of this?
Do you ever have those moments, when you want to take a mental snapshot? I have them all the time where I just pause, and think, "I don't ever want to forget this moment."
Last night in the car was one of those. I forgot the treasured sucky & BB and Gray started asking for it. The first time he asks says, "Mommy, my sucky?" in his sweet voice. Next time, it gets a little louder. Then the next time, he uses his deep, throaty, monster voice and asks for it.
He does this all the time! If we say no or don't answer him right away, he ends up asking in this mean, raspy voice. I can't help but laugh out loud every time!
My other "I don't ever want to forget" thing is something my darling, Layne says. We have several newborns around us right now. She always asks how old other kids are and we've told her that the babies are zero. Well, she calls them "zero babies." I love it when she says, "Hey Mom, when I was a Zero Baby....." I just love how naive, but so smart she is.
So long for now...love and blessings!
